As part of the project, the following equipment has been procured to enhance the educational infrastructure of the Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Animal Hospital: 2 intensive care cabins, 2 infusion pumps, 10 oxygen regulators, 1 ultrasound device, and 1 imaging system.

Within the framework of the “Regulation on General and Special Hygiene Rules for Small-Capacity Slaughterhouses,” a modular slaughterhouse with a daily slaughter capacity of 8 large livestock or 24 small livestock has been established.

The project locations are the districts of Sorgun, Sarıkaya, Saraykent, and Akdağmadeni in Yozgat province. Planned to be initiated on a pilot basis, the project aims to reduce the high rate of calf mortality experienced in cattle farming, minimize diarrhea-related calf deaths, and contribute to the national economy.

Among the agricultural products produced in Aksaray, the most widely cultivated and preferred for snacks are sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. With the integrated seed facility established through this project, the products are collected directly from farmers with minimal handling. Inside the facility, the products are dried at the correct temperature in a drying machine, ensuring that their color and quality remain unchanged. This allows the processing, which would normally take weeks, to be completed in the shortest possible time. Farmers are able to sell their products shortly after harvest, increasing the market value of their produce.

The aim of the projects is to develop beekeeping, which has significant potential in the region, to increase the income levels of producers and create employment, to provide producers with beekeeping materials that allow them to engage in organic beekeeping economically, to diversify the products produced in organic beekeeping, to increase producers’ incomes, and to improve their marketing capabilities.

Through the portable sheepfold projects, the objectives are to improve shelter conditions and thereby enhance animal welfare, to prevent productivity losses in animal husbandry, to produce healthy and high-quality animal products, to prevent the establishment of permanent shelters in pastures, to clear irregular structures within pastures, and to develop alternative methods that will facilitate the reclamation of pasturelands.
