Gemstone Processing Project

Due to the lack of practical training areas and equipment in schools, and the fact that graduating students enter the job market with only theoretical knowledge, students are unable to receive adequate and qualified agricultural education. Through this project, the aim is to expose students to diverse production infrastructure, cultivate generations with the potential to contribute to the country's social and economic development as Agricultural Vocational High Schools, and transform our youth into individuals beneficial to our nation and country.

A significant portion of animal slaughter in the region still takes place in small and primitive slaughterhouses, with meat and meat products often being produced under conditions that are not hygienically or technologically adequate. Small-scale operations lack cooling units, preventing carcass maturation, creating challenges in preserving internal organs, and resulting in the underutilization of by-products. Additionally, carcasses, hides, and internal organs are transported in unsuitable vehicles.

The Keme mushroom is a species of mycorrhizal fungus and lives in symbiosis with its host plant, Helianthemum spp. (Sunrose, Rockrose).

The project aims to process Topaç Village Garlic, produced from local seeds in Topaç Village of Acıgöl district, on-site; market it in semi-processed form through the cooperative; and generate local employment. Within the scope of the project, one Garlic Peeling and Packaging Facility has been established.
