Through this project, the objectives are to eliminate post-harvest losses for farmers producing in Karatay district, save time and labor, introduce new technologies, develop the technical knowledge infrastructure in the agricultural sector, disseminate new agricultural techniques and mechanization, utilize regional capacity efficiently, and prevent resource wastage.

The project basin, which includes Güneysınır District of Konya Province, consists of marginal lands that cannot be irrigated and have no irrigation potential, making it a region experiencing continuous migration. Medicinal and aromatic plants are of great importance for utilizing unirrigated, arid, unproductive, and idle lands in rural areas. Through this project, the aims are to extract oil from the lavender produced by farmers in Güneysınır district, thereby improving quality, increasing income and welfare levels, and bringing marginal lands into agricultural use.

A sorting, grading, roasting, and packaging facility has been established to add value to pulses widely cultivated in the region, particularly pumpkin seeds. The project aims to shield farmers from price fluctuations and increase their income by enabling them to sell packaged products.
