In line with the requirements of the age, it is important to develop original ideas that will increase young people's awareness of knowledge, skills, and social entrepreneurship, stimulate their imagination, and present business ideas so that our country can play a more effective role in the competitive environment of the productive world.
In this context, an Energy Saving-Focused Internet of Things Project competition is planned to be organized under the protocol signed between the KOP Regional Development Administration and the Selçuklu District National Education Directorate on November 21, 2023. The topics of the project competition, the participation of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools, and the program content were determined at a meeting held at the Selçuklu District National Education Directorate, chaired by the Deputy Director of the District National Education Directorate, with the participation of school principals and our Directorate staff.
The topics of the Project Competition are: Classification in Waste Recycling, Water and Energy Efficiency in Agricultural Irrigation, and Energy Efficiency in Cities. Three students per school will participate in each topic. The Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools participating in the project are ASELSAN MTAL, Selçuklu MTAL, Fatih MTAL, Adil Karaağaç MTAL, Türk Telekom MTAL, and Mehmet Tuza Pakpen MTAL. The necessary materials and supplies for the schools preparing for the project have been procured from the project budget and delivered.
The Project Competition and Award Ceremony was held on Monday, May 6, 2024, between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Aselsan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Oruç Baba İNAN presented awards to each student who participated in the competition and plaques to their mentors.
The aim was to support the implementation of innovative, sustainable, and creative ideas from high school students that offer solutions to regional and national problems and to bring original ideas to light.
