Globally, the declining trend in energy resources is forcing countries to develop different policies in this area. In this context, the sustainability of existing energy resources in light of population growth and economic developments is emerging as an important issue. Therefore, competition for energy resources has led to their more effective and efficient use. In this context, energy efficiency comes to the fore. Energy efficiency is seen as the most important resource today. From the perspective of sustainable energy policies, efficiency is an indispensable value, and the issue of efficiency in the energy sector ranks among the top priorities on a global scale.

Ensuring energy continuity, reducing external dependency, and environmental issues have increased the importance of the efficient use of energy and energy resources. In this regard, it is known that efficiency can be increased not only through awareness, diversification of energy production sources, and implementation of environmentally friendly policies in energy consumption, but also by avoiding waste. It is now a well-known fact that energy efficiency is “the fastest, cheapest, and cleanest energy source.”

The project aims to implement the necessary revisions for public institutions and organizations studied under the “KOP Energy Efficiency Mobile Study Vehicle” project and, as a priority, to achieve energy savings in public buildings.

Thanks to these revision reports, the provisions of the “Communiqué on the Implementation of Energy Performance Contracts in the Public Sector” published in the Official Gazette dated April 15, 2021, and numbered 31455 will be fulfilled, and support will be provided within the framework of the necessary lighting and heating system revisions.

The project aims to investigate the use of Hydrogen Combi Systems in greenhouses, which are produced domestically and exported using local and national resources, with the support of GES, to conduct cost calculations, and to implement a pilot greenhouse application.

Within the scope of the project, the approximately 400 m² glass greenhouse established within the Konya Science Center of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality will be evaluated and equipped with the HID+GES+RES heating system.

The project is ongoing, and in its continuation, the necessary infrastructure will be established to enable automatic control of the greenhouse, and advanced sensors integrated with LED lights will be installed to monitor the health of the plants.

The project budget is 1,500,000 TL, and detailed reports on the heating systems allocated to the greenhouse and comparative cost-benefit analyses will be prepared.
